Founded by Paul Harris in 1905 in Chicago, Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are over 33,000 Rotary clubs in 200 countries, with nearly 1.2 million members worldwide.
The Club will turn 50 in 2009-10. It has plans to make it a memorable period in its history with year-long celebrations and implementation of a mega-project. Join us in making the golden jubilee year a memorable year of service to people who need our loving care ....

Rotary Club of Madras South, the 2nd Club formed in the city, was inaugurated on 17th June 1960, and was Chartered on 30th June 1960 with 24 members. We have 62 active members and one honorary member.
The Club has implemented many commendable projects, over the years, in all avenues of service. It has organized many thematic exhibitions on subjects relating to Environment, Automobiles, Quality Control, Futuristic Technology & others. In the last six years, we have successfully completed two Matching Grants Projects.
